The Young Canberra Citizen of the Year Awards (the Awards) is an annual celebration established in
1989.
The Awards are an opportunity to recognise and celebrate individual young people and groups of young people. The Awards shine a light on young people who have made a big personal achievement or been actively involved in the community in areas like community work, sport, education, science, culture, the arts or the environment.
The Awards are supported by the ACT Government and the Award’s sponsors, who are committed to recognising the diversity and talent of individuals and groups from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
