The Disability Loop program at the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) are hosting free information sessions about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The information sessions are for people with disability and their families or carers and are called “Getting the Most Out of Your NDIS Plan”.
The sessions are written by people with disability, who are also NDIS participants. The presenter is also an NDIS participant.
In this first session AFDO cover:
The meaning of some NDIS terms and ideas;
Understanding your plan and funding;
Plan management and budgeting;
What supports to put into place first;
Finding service Providers.
The workshops are free but registration is essential
When you register, AFDO will also send you a link to the session information pack which contains detailed, useful handouts about different aspects of the NDIS. You are welcome to download all or any of the handouts for referring to at a time that suits you.
