Including all students in grade-level curriculum with TQI

Equitable access to grade-level academic curriculum is a cornerstone of inclusive education. When students with disability, including those with complex learning profiles, are included in regular curriculum opportunities alongside same-aged peers it leads to increased academic, social and post-school outcomes. However, the implementation of inclusive curriculum provision often poses practical challenges. There can be uncertainty regarding how to plan for and provide grade-level curriculum in a way that responds to the diverse requirements of students whilst maintaining academic rigour and progress in learning for all.

This presentation provides parents and educators with essential insights into inclusive curriculum design. Participants will gain knowledge about the curriculum and the range of possible strategies and personalised approaches that support all students to access grade-level learning. This will include practical, actionable strategies for implementation through exploration of the Inclusive Academic Curriculum Framework (IACF).
