On Sunday 3 December 2023 the ACT branch of the Australian Electric Vehicle Association will hold an EV Experience Event in Canberra.
A number of electric vehicles will be featured at the Mawson Park and Ride carpark.
This EV Experience Day will run from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
While the best way to learn about the benefits of an EV is to own one, the second-best way is to talk to an owner! Come down and get all of your questions answered.
We invite all Canberrans to join us to talk about the electric future for everyone. And enjoy a short passenger ride in an EV.
The 3rd of December is also International Day of People with Disability.
The Australian Electric Vehicle Association is working with local, state and Federal governments (including the ACT Government) to ensure that Australia’s EV future is accessible to everyone.
People with disability, carers, family and friends are all invited to come along with your questions about EV cars and:
• learn about accessibility requirements for public EV chargers and the ACT Government Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Operational Policy
• listen to acoustic warnings given by approaching EVs and also noise made by non-EV cars
• talk to the owner of an EV fitted with hand controls which will be on display
• understand some of the challenges in current EV design and vehicle availability to suit all drivers and passengers, including people with disability
• help AEVA understand your EV needs and concerns to help shape government and industry policy.
