I-Day Event - Making Inclusive Education Work

Making Inclusive Education Work, is an International Day of People with Disability event jointly hosted by Advocacy for Inclusion (AFI) and the ACT Education Directorate (EDU).

AFI will present its inclusive education white paper and key recommendations.

EDU will present the work which is underway to develop an Inclusive Education Strategy.

Lived experience videos of students, parents and teachers will offer real stories of inclusive education in ACT public schools.

Finally, a panel of thought leaders, advocates and school representatives will reflect on what they have heard and discuss the actions, policy settings and reform needed to strengthen inclusive education for students with disability in ACT schools.

 Students, parents and educators
 Advocacy for Inclusion
 A panel of thought leaders and advocates, including Catia Malaquias, co-founder of All Means All and co-convenor of the Australian Coalition for Inclusive Education.
