A workshop for people with disability and their families, support staff, friends, teachers, and other professionals.
In this workshop, you will:
recognise that we all seek support in our decision-making in many different ways
hear stories of how people with disability have been supported in making decisions
understand how to improve how we notice, listen, interpret and understand a person to best support their decision making
learn how to follow the person’s lead in aspects of getting information and making decisions
learn how to give people experiences of making decisions
understand the issues with formal Supported Decision Making
how to keep most decision-making in the ordinary processes of life.
