Nipuni Wijewickrema is a social entrepreneur who is passionate about empowering people with disability to have meaningful employment opportunities.
At the age of 20, Nip and her family realised there was a lack of meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability - including her sister Gayana who has Down Syndrome. To allow Gayana to live a life of purpose, Nip and her family established GG's Flowers and Hampers.
At TEDx Canberra Women 2021, Nip will share her reflections on her incredible journey as a social entrepreneur, as well as provocations on what more we can do to empower people with a disability through employment.
'TEDx Canberra Women 2021: What Now?' will be held in-person at the Kambri Cultural Centre at the ANU. Your registration will give you access to:

A full session of TED Talks, music performances and selected short films featuring up-and-coming Australians who are out to change the world
