National Convention Centre Canberra is a finalist for the Inclusion in Private Sector Employment award at the 2019 ACT Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards!
The team at the National Convention Centre Canberra (NCCC) have been supporting employment in disability and inclusion for over ten years.
Employing three employees with different disabilities they have created a more flexible workplace, found suitable tasks that contribute to the running of the centre, and revisited the way tasks are completed and adjusted accordingly.
Employees with disability are included, respected and encouraged by other staff members.
NCCC has promoted their positive experience in disability employment to other businesses through the Inclusion in Employment project:
