Questacon wins at the 2019 Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards
Questacon jointly won the Inclusion in Public Sector Employment award at the 2019 Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards!
This award recognises an organisation, team or individual within the public sector that has provided inclusive and innovative employment practices.
Questacon began a journey in 2018 to increase the employment opportunities for people with disability and to become a recognised leader in access and inclusion. What began as one position has grown and there is now an organisational wide disability inclusion policy with a number of people with disability employed in a range of roles.
Questacon has also run disability awareness training sessions for all managers and staff. In a sign of true commitment to the inclusion cause, Questacon has recently funded a designated Inclusion Officer to drive best practice and lead the organisation to its goal of being an industry leader in the area of disability employment.
