Have Your Say on SPIRE at the Canberra Hospital

The SPIRE Project is the largest healthcare infrastructure project undertaken by any ACT Government. It will deliver a state-of-the-art emergency, surgical and critical healthcare facility on the Canberra Hospital Campus.

The SPIRE Project will replace buildings 5 and 24. These buildings are being vacated and demolished to clear the footprint for construction of the SPIRE Project to commence in 2021 and be completed by 2024.

Detailed information about the SPIRE Project can be found in the SPIRE Project: The Facts information sheet.

This consultation will include pop-up engagements at a range of relevant locations and engaging with a Local Community Reference Group, and also a Consumer Reference Group which is comprised of members from:

  • Health Care Consumers Association
  • Mental Health Consumers Network
  • CHS Patient Experience Team
  • Carers ACT
  • Council of the Ageing
  • Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Elected Body
  • Multicultural Advisory Council ACT
  • People With Disabilities ACT
