Therapy 4 Kids - Finalist for the 2019 Chief Minister's Inclusion Awards

Therapy 4 Kids is a finalist for the Excellence in Inclusive Services and Disability Support award at the 2019 ACT Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards!

Therapy 4 Kids has established itself as a leader for supporting children and families in the Canberra and Queanbeyan region through their physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology services for children aged from birth to adolescence. It is part of the national organisation, Early Start Australia, committed to delivering evidence-based early intervention and therapy services to children and families.

Therapy 4 Kids’ focus is on empowering the child and their family to maximise the child's potential through individualised activities that are incorporated into play as much as possible. Their aim is for the child to feel able to participate in family and community activities and enjoy life. This is achieved through the recognition that inclusion of children with disabilities into everyday activities involves practices and policies to identify and remove barriers that hamper a child’s ability to have full participation in society, the same as children without disabilities.

Therapy 4 Kids considers parents/carers as the experts regarding their child and consider them to be a crucial member of the intervention team and encourage them to become an integral part of all teaching activities.
